Switchable smart glass functions similarly to its smart film – It switches from clear to opaque at the touch of a button, offering instant privacy and light control.
Smart glass offers many of the same advantages and functionalities as smart film, with added durability and integration.
Unlike smart film, which can be retrofitted to existing glass surfaces, smart glass is a laminated solution that incorporates PDLC (polymer dispersed liquid crystal) technology directly within the glass layers. This creates a more robust and permanent installation, ideal for new builds or major renovations.
Smart glass provides instant privacy, UV protection, and energy efficiency, just like smart film, but with the added benefit of enhanced structural integrity and seamless design integration.
Smart glass is composed of the PDLC film laminated between two sheets of glass.
Available in various thicknesses, from 8mm up to 24mm, smart glass can be customized to meet the specific demands of different projects, whether for interior partitions or exterior windows
Smart glass comes also in a super clear low-E version
